One of our plow trucks is a 06 f150 and when they turned the dial to go into 4x4 it worked fine, but when it was turned back into 2H nothing happen and its still in 4x4. Could you pull computer codes on it? we tried going back and forth in reverse and forwards, still nothing.

Jack the truck up and pull the front wheels off. On the interior (back) side of each rotor you'll see vacuum hoses and electronic that connect to the forward drive housing that connects to the rotors. Check the connections; and, pick up shop manual for your specific truck that shows the exploded view of the 4wd connection - it doesn't sound like a mechanical issue.

Neutral
4x4 low
Shift into Drive
4x4 High
