2006 f150 fx4 5.4 engine. I seem to have a knocking noise coming from under my truck, right around where the headers meet the down pipe where the cat converter is. its a steady knocking sound that can only be heard at idle. it doesn't increase with engine rpms. anyone else heard this sound before, it a hollow steady knocking at idle?? truck has 80,000 miles

Could be the phaser knock. Our sounded like the knock was underneath. We left it go until it stalled at idle. We had the right side phaser fall aprt after I removed it. I installed new phasers, tensioners, guides, and chains bought direct from Ford. Solved our problem.
