06 f150 fuse 14 keeps popping

It seems like it was the pcv heater, checked it out, both wires were touching and bare, spread them out and haven't had a issue since

I thought about it but doesnt the wires get hot as it heats up? Will just melt it

dunno, dont have a heated PCV... but to prevent the wires from coning together again and shorting, a barrier of some sort is definitely recommend, heat shrink?
