06 f150 5.4 will crank but wont start
2006 f150 5,4 will crank but wont start. Ive checked the fuses, anti theft, fuel shut off and it still wont start. I sprayed starter fluid in the intake but still nothing. Does anyone have any ideas or anyone have the same problem?
Thanks

Yes that is my thoughts also, any idea what to check next? I'm thinking the crank sensor might have something to do with it. The symptoms were was driving it shut off, was able to start it and went a very short distance about 20 yards then shut off again. it tried to fire a few times but after several tries it quit firing. got it towed to the house and checked what I could, had a friend that had a scanner and it read that one COP was faulty. Tested to see if starting fluid would get it to fire but nothing but it does turn over no fire.

cranks won't start
I changed one COP and checked for spark, still no spark exist. I used the new Cop on all cylinder connections and still no spark. Changed fuel filter as it needed changed anyway and still nothing.

Most certainly could be a faulty crank sensor. With a faulty sensor, the ignition system doesn't recognize the engine is being cranked thus won't send a spark.

Thank you, I'm tearing into it a little more today and will check the crank sensor if I can get to it. I will leave an update when I test or replace it

It didnt show any code and no spark on any cylinders, Im going to try the crankshaft sensor. It makes sense that if the computer does not receive a signal it wont fire nor will the injectors get a signal to pulse.
A guy I have looking at it is adamant that its the catalytic converter and now today possibly the wiring harness. I'm not so sure about all that because I would have spark if the catalytic converter was bad. Any thoughts?
The symptoms were I got the codes read a couple weeks before it stalled out and the catalytic sensor was one and the one COP was the other one. I changed the COP and still no spark. When this happened It stalled while driving and it started but ran extremely rough and drove about 50 yards before it quit all together. Would turn over but not fire.
