'06 5.4L V8 Spark plugs
I have an '06 Screw 5.4 and was wondering what you guys thought on the spark plugs are. I'm at 40,000 miles and am thinking about getting them changed out to one piece plugs so that it won't cost me an arm and a leg to get them changed out. I know they're 100,000 mile plugs . What are y'alls thoughts?

How is the truck running? If it is running good with no problems, then I would think about leaving it alone.
However, if it's for your piece of mind, then go with your thoughts. It may be true that the longer you wait, perhaps the more carbon that may build up on the thread tips, which is what I understand causes the plugs to break during removal. Apparently, this carbon can cause the plug to sieze in the plug hole threads as you remove them, and the plug breaks.
Do a search; some have removed them without problems at higher mileage than your engine; then others have had them break, although I don't recall if they specified the mileage when they were removed.

Got my spark plugs changed... The service manager wasn't very professional but.. She underquoted me $12 on each spark plug so I got a $96 discount on it. My truck is running very smooth now and i have a peace of mind. One last thing.. I love karma
