Default 06 5.4 xlt 4x4 truck stalled out.. HELP?

Earlier today my truck stalled out on my mom. I have an 06 xlt 4x4. She was driving and went to give it gas to speed up and she said nothing happened and it felt like it shut off and then all the dash lights came on. She had to put it in park and turn off the truck, and then turned it on but it took a couple tries to turn. It's never happened to me ever while driving, and i don't want to take into the dealership until it happens again cause it may not happen again.. What might have caused this and what can I do to prevent it from happening again? And is this a common problem for our year trucks? It has about 118k miles on it.

If you can get it to move, take a spare battery with you and go to a parts store and have them load test the battery and alternator, which should be free. Don't just volt test. Anything can have voltage without supplying enough amps. They need to put a load tester on it. Then report back with the results.

When it shut off, did all the electrical stuff go off? If so, then yes, check the alternator.

If it wasn't an electrical issue (everything stayed on), but just the engine shut off, I'd check the FPDM first.

Default bad throttling

TodAy my truck all of a sudden just shut off at light turned out it was a throttle code ..but funny thing it crank. Back up but while driving it was making rattling click noise...when I put in park and rev engine rpm wouldn't go pass 4 ..? Is is that clicking noise from not wanting to shift or what... I'm lost

Yes, it wasn't electrical because all the lights in the cluster turned on. And okay I'll check that.
