Default 06 4.6l Intake

Wow do I have issues.... Replaced the intake and valve gaskets(not rocket science on these trucks). Everthing went smooth until I started it..... the truck surges really hard and backfires constantly until it stalls. If you try to keep up with the rpms from pushing the accelerator it will run a bit longer.

I've triple checked for vacuum hoses and any harnesses left unplugged and found everthing the way it should. I didn't disturb the injectors though i did unplug the comp at the firewall.
Any ideas on this I'd appreciate it?

Got it fixed... I'm an idiot! The fel pro comes with rings on the polenum gasket(not sure why) had have to be popped out.... which I didn't do. There was a 1/16 of a gap on the plenum!! Yes I am ashamed of myself... haha
I changed the intake gaskets because it was pouring a leak into 2,3 and 4 cyl wearing out the boot causing a missfire.(pretty sad at only 70K) So while i was there I did the valve cover gaskets which took longer than the intake I might add!

I have an 06 4.6 and am curious as to why you would have to replace the intake.
