Default 2006 Regular Cab Sound System

Hi I'm new to the forum but have been on other forums so I would like to introduce myself first. I am 18 years old I drive a 2006 Ford F150 Regular Cab and had some questions before I installed my system. I recently purchased a Kenwood single DIN headunit but have the mounting bracket and wire harness to go from double din to single. I also purchased a RE Audio REX 10D4 Subwoofer and a Rockford Fosgate Prime 250 watt one channel amp. BeforeI do the install just want to know anything anyone would reccomend like which gromets to use, to be careful with removing certain pannel, etc. I want to do this install at my house becasue everyone is so expensive in San Diego, everyone seems to know how to install it and estimates it to take an hour and a half to two hours but everyone is at Best Buys outrageous prices even when they are working out of their homes.
Thanks alot any input would be greatly appreciated
Cody

I have had my factory radio out a couple of times, and the clips on the trim panel are a PITA, but nothing to worry about. They are either going to come off with the bezel, or stay in the slot in the dash, at which point you pull them out with pliers and put them back on the bezel.

As long as you buy an adapter to plug into the factory harness so you can pre wire the radio, and avoid cutting into the factory harness, you should be good to go.

Lots of room in the dash, so it is really simple to work on, and to get your wires down under the rug to get to where you are going to put the sub

The chargers have been pretty bad this season but I will always stick with them, im stoked to go watch them next week against the ravens. Just waiting for then to fire norv. And thanks for the info on removing the pannel for the stereo. My truck is pretty stock no carpet just the plastic mats for easy cleanup so I shouldnt have any problem with the amp overheating.
