Default 05 FX 4 bogging down when I press the gas pedal to the floor

I need some help! The engine just makes a loud bogging sound and won't pick up speed when I press the pedal to the floor. I replaced the foam seal around the air filter box which has a K&N drop in, and took the tb off and thouroughly cleaned it. Sometimes it picks up and lays you back in the seat but not often. I'm getting 12mpg, It just started this a few days ago. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I tried changing the fuel filter just a while ago, I couldn't get the front clip to come loose to pull it out. I tried spraying it with lube working it back and forth tried two or three different things to slide up in it to pop it loose but to no avail nothing worked. I just reconnected the the back and set back in place 😈 but thanks guys!

The dealer here always supied new clips with each filter, not anymore grr.

One of the clips requires a Fuel line disconnect hat and the other is that pink clip. Also a green sleeve style clip so you can remove the flexy line. Which one can you not release?

Try This

Obviously there are differences between the years.

It's the front line with the elbow in it. I actually have a metal removal tool already on the line but I couldn't get it to work either.

Fella.

You're just gonna have to keep trying.

Last nasty one I had, use compressed air to blow all the crap out if the connector. Then WD40 and all that jive.

We assume you have released the other clips removing pressure from the system?

Yeah I find if the pressure is off. Press the filter into the fitting and try to slide the tool in.

Very very frustrating at times. Good luck.
