Default '05 F150 STX .. Aftermarket exhaust??

I have a 2005 Ford F150 STX model and want to get an aftermarket exhaust kit. I am looking at the Flowmaster 40 series. I want a very deep tone at idle speed ..what would be the BEST brand to go with??

I'm guessing you have a 4.6 like me since it's an STX, right? Let me know what you come up with... I'm in the market for one myself. I first I started looking at all kinds of catbacks, but H have been considering just swapping out the muffler with an 18" magnaflow. Not positive yet though.

I had a magna flow on mine. Be sure to get a dual outlet if you want it noisy. A single in single out is much quieter than a single in dual out

Which one specifically? I want something that isn't overly loud. Want a nice growl at idle and when I get on it, but 0 drone on the highway.

I have a flowmaster series 44 single/single and has a very nice deep tone lil highway drone you can gain depth in the sound by added a tip I currently have a Gibson metal mulisha black ceramic tip, you do not have to have dual exhaust to make it sound good.

I don't recall sorry but it had a drone at about 60. I put a single in single out on my '07 5.4 and it was too quiet. That was a flow master 40

when I first put on the series 44 with out a tip it was not that loud or deep so I put the 5x12 inch Gibson metal mulisha and it was night and day difference. I also cut the tail pipe so it only inserted in to the tip about 1 inch and welded it on even thou it is a slip on clamp style tip
