I just changed my plugs myself at 200,000 miles and had no problem with them coming apart in the block because I put 2 cans of Seafoam through my vacuum line. Then I replaced them with the Champion 7879 and they work great.
Hope this helps.

When was the last time you had changed your plugs prior to 200K miles?

thread #5 is our tech advisor and works for Ford. Part # sp507. one piece oem plug
Like 05 super, from what I've read on many other sites, Ford released a newly designed plug around 10/2007 or a little later that should be a one piece design.
