Default 05 f150 5.4 misfire

i have an 05 f150 with a 5.4, you can tell a little by idling that its got a miss. when you get up to around 45mph and press hard on the gas it jerks and bogs down and wont go until i let off a little. i done it on the interstate the other day and as soon as it would start jerking and missing a little light on my dash would come on for a second and go off. the light looked kind of like a picture of a motor. do you have any idea what is causing this?????

Go to Auto zone and have them read what codes were stored and let us know. When you have a SES light it stores a code, this info will help diagnose what the problem it.

Sounds like your gonna need to take it to the dealer to have the code read then. If you did have a SES light appear on the dash it should have stored a code. The dealer can check processor 6 for codes, which I'm guessing won't show with a standard code reader. They can also do a power/load balance to try to simulate the problem.

Good luck, I hope you find out the cause.
