just a thought. I got mine on ebay new back in February for $260, when the going retail price was $350. All he needs is the ipod cable and wiring harness, not to mention a new surround assy, but those are on ebay also. If you are that concerned about playing an ipod in your truck, then get the receiver that was designed by Apple engineers.

Triton, can you use your set-up w/the aux. button and still also listen to Sat. radio? I heard that when you use one of those things on a factory radio you lose the option of the Sat. radio. Any truth to that?

Um...I think it's different on the newer F150s because on my radio I've got 3 different "AUX" channels. Like wen I push the "AUX" button it goes to "AUX1", "AUX2" and "AUX3" so I'm thinking that you could have your iPOD hooked up to "AUX1" and leave the other 2 open. On the GP I had the iPOD hooked up to "AUX1" and my XM radio was on "AUX2".
I'm not actually sure about the newer F150s though because I don't have satellite radio in my truck. I do however remember having to select which channel I wanted the iPOD to work on because it said whichever channel the iPOD is hooked to, you will not be able to access the satellite radio on that specific channel.

Radio Port: The adapter typically uses the factory head unit's Satellite radio port, so if the vehicle has an existing satellite tuner it must be disconnected.
see.
I just got off the phone with crutchfield, and they said that there are no direct port satellite radios that will work with this radio, and the only way to hook up a direct wired satellite radio would be with a direct wired FM modulator, which is the same thing that ford offers for a ipod hookup if you get it aftermarket.
The direct wire FM modulator just plugs in line with the radio antenna, so that there is batter reception, and less channel changing and less static, but it is still radio based, not aux.
the guy at crutchfield said that he has no idea how the aux1/aux2/aux3 would work since there is only one port on the back.

hmmm....I wonder how they don't know. I know that there's only 1 AUX hookup in the back of the radio and I used it for the iPOD. I wonder if there's some kind of splitter that can be used for the satellite radio and the iPOD hook up. I was just in my truck and when I hit the AUX button it gives me 3 different AUX channels which leads me to believe that you can have more than 1 AUX input. I'm gonna search now to see if I can find some kind of splitter.
