Default 05 5.4 Oil Leak

I've had a pretty bad oil leak on my truck since December. It leaves a circle of oil on the ground about 4 to 6 inches in diameter every time I park it. I changed out the oil filter adapter gasket about a month ago and it's still leaking. I have dirty oil everywhere on the oil pan and engine block above the filter adapter. I have fresh looking oil coming off of all the bolts on the filter adapter and off of the driver side oil pan bolts. I even have fresh oil on the middle bolts to the exhaust manifolds. I have a new pan and gasket I was going to install but I'm not sure if that would even fix the issue. Should I take off the adapter again incase I messed it up the first time? Also I had the dealership replace the cam phasers and other timing elements about a year ago. Could any work they did have now possibly failed and is causing a leak? Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance!

I would look at the valve cover gasket on that side. I did my phasers back in the summer and rolled the gasket and it leaked until I pulled it back apart and fixed it. Chances are the gasket is still good, just not in place properly. If you have oil on the exhaust manifold, that's where I would look first. Mine leaked onto it as well. Took about an hour to fix.

I checked under the valve covers and both were completely dry and clean. I spent about an hour under my truck with some break cleaner and I think I traced it coming from the timing cover. I'm talking with Ford right now to see if it's under warranty. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the help!

It "should" be if all the parts were motorcraft and installed at a ford dealership. They should be backed by a 2 year warranty on parts and labor. http://www.fordparts.com/Products/PartsWarranties.aspx

It turned out to be the timing cover seal that failed and caused the leak and was going to be covered by warranty but now I have some bigger issues. Thanks for all of the help!
