Sorry it's been a while. But I've been busy. I switched out the 4x4 selonoid and that was not the problem. Jacked the front of the truck up today and found out that the passenger side iwe will not disengage. The drivers side iwe disengages but makes a grinding noise when driving. The passenger side has a little more vaccum than the drivers side so I would think there is enough vaccum to since the drivers side disengages with less vaccum. Both sides engage when put in 4x4 but pass. Side won't disengage. Could it be possible that both wheel ends went bad at the same time? Thinking about just replacing both of them.
So you replaced IWE solenoid?
You need to replace both IWE actuators. Rockauto has them fair price get dormans

Yes, I replaced the iwe selonoid. Not sure what else to do other than replace them. Doesn't look like too terrible of a job. Thinking about getting a pump and testing the vaccum to see what it's at, just to make sure that there's not a hole in the line somewhere. If that's not the problem I'm just gonna replace them. I just find it hard to believe they would both go bad at the same time.

Another thing I forgot to mention was that the front axle was turning when the front was jacked up off the ground in 4x4. I didn't think that should turn since the truck was still in park. Does that mean there is something wrong in my transfer case?? 4x4 locked in properly. When I turned 1 tire the other tire turned the opposite way. Like I said the 4x4 works fine, but the passenger side iwe won't disengage and the driver side disengages but grinds when driving. This thing is starting to drive me crazy. Thinking about just taking it to the dealership and finding out how bad they're going to rape me. Lol
