Default 04 FX4 vibration

I am a new owner of an 04 FX4 with 68K miles. The truck came with an aftermarket brake assist (draw-tite activator 2). I disconnected the brake assist when i began feeling a vibration in the front end at speeds of 40+. The disconnect has slowed down the frequency of the vibration incidents but has not stopped the vibration. Here is the tricky part: the vibration does not always occur and there seems to be no provocation to the vibration beginning. There is no vibration when braking, the truck brakes great and does not pull to one side. Turning the truck off and then back on stops the vibration as if some kind of sensor is going bad. The vibration feels exactly like the ones described in previous threads but is not constant. If the brakes or tie rod were going bad or the tires out of balance would i not feel the vibration constantly. Thanks for any help, i am lost...

think i have narrowed it down and fixed the problem. the emergency brake was locking up on the rear passenger side wheel. hopefully this fixes the problem.
