'04 FX4, need help with bulb change
Guys,
The gear indicator bulb went out and it's the console type shifter, not on the column. Anywho, could anyone tell me where the screws are to get the panels off so I can change that sucker? I included a pic to show which interior layout I'm talking about.

Be patient, help will be along. Most likely the panel just pulls up and out. Remember someone saying left and up. Try the search button if help doesn't arrive shortly.

These two might be able to help you. They both seem to have knowledge about redoing the bulbs quite extensively. PM them, or search for their threads.

shifter bulb
Open the console, insert finger into the sqare hole.. pull towards the driver seat and up at the same time... it'll pop up. The holder for the bulb is at the back of the shifter and faces forward. twist 1/4 turn to the left and pull back. the cover wont come all the way off due to the shifter... so work with what ya got. I removed my lens and took off the green tint, then instaled a BLUE LED bulb... looks like this when done.
