I need a U-joint done on the truck, I took the shaft off and ran it down to the local shop. Unfortunately Visteon made it so it's just about impossible to remove the Ujoints, I'm sure for the reason of selling me a whole new driveshaft. My question is have any of you ran into this problem? What was the best solution you found? So far I can either buy a new one for God knows what or have it rebuilt for around $550. I'm sure there are other cheaper solutions, I'm just hoping to save some time and hopefully find something here.

Ford offers a ujoint kit to service the u-joints on the 2008-04 F-150. Part number is 4L3Z 4635-AB. The kit provides a new joint and a cuttong tool to remove the staked u-joints. My local dealer wants about $158.00 for the kit.
