Default 04 F150 5.4 4v Swap

I'm in the process of swapping a navigator motor into my 04 F150.

I've sorted out almost all the snags, but one that is troubling me is how little room there is on the passenger side of the motor. So little room in fact, that I am unable to bolt the A/C compressor to the engine because it hits the frame.

I noticed the passenger side frame mount has a slot in it, but the driver side is a through bolt that is not slotted. I'm not sure how to move the motor more to the driver's side, so I thought I'd ask for some tips.

Here are the obligatory pictures of my progress.

Not sure how to post these so:

Wow nice work so far .. I never knew the boss intake fits the Navi 5.4 heads!! Also can you use the stock f150 ecu and wiring w/ proper tuning?

Is the block very different or is it the same? Maybe the difference is the motor mounts?

Block is basically identical. Motor mounts look identical. Is there anyone who could measure the distance horizontally from the side of the oil pan to the frame rails on both sides?

I'm trying to judge if I'm off center or not.

As far as the intake, a company makes adapter plates. I'm using the factory computer and wiring. Using the stock MAF turned upside down. The reason it's upside down is the intake and throttle body I'm using ate from an 11+ gt Mustang. The MAF is mounted on the opposite side.

I'm modifying the factory fuel rails to work.

Using a coolant crossover tube and also the radiator hoses and thermostat from a 96-98 cobra.

Im pretty sure all ford modular motors have the same mounting points whether its a 4.6 sohc or a 5.4 dohc.. When i get home this weekend i can measure for you on my truck .. I know hte motor mounts physically mount the same but i wonder if the motor mounts themselves are different? just a thought .

Not much progress lately. I'm a production engineer for an international auto parts supplier and my work load has blown up here lately.

I did adjust the motor mounts a little yesterday. I haven't had a chance to confirm if I have the clearance I need or not yet.

What are your plans for the truck? Is it 2wd or 4wd..... This is the complete wrong set up for a 4wd truck or something that will you will tow with..... If your drag racing it awesome.... That intake will hurt tq, and you will have to rev the engine 5k plus for any hp.... And you will need an aggressive gear to get the truck moving
