Leave the battery unhooked overnight to wipe out the memory. And no there isn't a way to check codes with out a scanner. If the oil level is low or the computer thinks its low it won't do anything. It keeps it from even turning over

The theft indicator light on top of the dash stays steadily lit when the key is in the on position and according to the manual it says if that light stays steadily lit or blinks rapidly while key is in on position the there is domething wrong with the pats system. any ideas on that?
