I have been having the same issues with my 2008 FX4 5.4L V8.

oh did i mention loss of power, lack of throttle response, and sometimes failure to downshift when pedal hits the floor ??
any advice or input would be greatly appreciated.
If i didn't love the truck i wouldn't keep pouring money into it.
Thank You Everyone

ok so here's the newest development with this truck..
recently brought it back to mechanic because rattling noise coming from new catalytic converter. long story short converter was covered by warranty however mfr stated that it was completely " burned out " inside. Fact is it only had about 400 miles on it. How the heck ??
I've heard that excess fuel is being dumped into the exhaust system ?
anyone help on this issue? this happen to anyone ?
Really confused now ...
thanks in advance
