Sorry for the late reply.

If you check out the original post, you'll see me pointing out the rear mounting tabs on the original single-bulb housing.

For whatever reason...and it may be just that my 3-light fixture came out of a Taurus and not an F-150...those mounting tabs I'm pointing out were about 2-3mm shorter on the 3-light fixture than on the original one. So the new fixture wouldn't quite "pop in".

It was really easy to just look at the plastic "pocket" in the headliner that accepts the fixture and take a Dremel to it. I just ground down the sockets where those tabs snapped in to bring them down a bit. It was very simple. If you don't have a Dremel, a very small file or power drill/driver should take care of it.

Judging from some of the replies on this thread, if the 3-light fixture comes out of an F-150, the tabs are probably correct already. Nobody else seems to make any mods to do the swap.

The map lights are fine with reg festoon LED's but the center light needs a Canbus LED with built in resistor to eliminate the low glow. This is what I put in mine.

Sorry for the late reply.

I just typed "ford dome light assembly -bulb -led -lens" into eBay's search box, and the second result returned was the exact same assembly I bought. Price is $9.94 (or Best Offier) with free shipping.

I know it's been a few years, but I just did this upgrade. I was having a very difficult time getting the new dome light in, and the OP of this thread is the one who gave the knowledge I needed to complete the project. Just wanted to say thanks, and vouch for this original post.
