If 5* can't help, you can always find someone with IDS to return the system to "as built" any Ford dealer will have IDS but local indy shops may as well as individuals.

For step by step instructions on how to update your SCT device, visit www.SCTFLASH.com and click on the Tech Support link. Make sure you have returned your vehicle back to stock before updating your unit".

check for help from whoever you got your tunes with first.... because once the dealer flashes your stock set up, you are going to need to contact them anyways to update your tunes to the new strat code.

if they can't hep you, then head to your dealer.

I don't see where you said if it wiped it or not. You need to plug it in to a pc and see what happened.

You could be getting worked up over nothing.

If it is gone then contact 5star and sct.

But sct will probably be your best bet. They can make recoveries based on your stock tune. I'm not sure if they have a database of stock files or not. If they do hopefully they could send you a force recovery. Then you flash that. By doing that your back at square one. Then you can refresh your tune and save a backup of your stock file.

And as of now it sounds like your tuner is locked to your truck. By having the dealer reflash your ecu this could cause issues with your tuner. Thinking it's a different vehicle.

Problem with this statement about returning it to stock before going to a dealer.....is that it also clears any codes that were currently displayed. Thus, your dealer won't do squat to help you. No codes. No work.

You are most likely in the clear. Its recommended to return to stock because there is a chance the update can fail and corrupt the files on the device. Updater now takes a backup of your stock file and puts in an encrypted file called a BEF. Go to your SCT Device Updater root directory and it will be in there, starting the file name with your device serial.

IF for some reason the device is screwed up, SCT can use that file to recover your vehicle back to stock and then repair the device. You DO NOT need to go the dealership.

SCT has a database of all the stock files for these trucks, you'll be fine.

Shoot! I've done this myself...But based on the last post, sounds like the OEM file is still on the tuners.
