Default WTH? How do you change headlight bulb on 2011 F150?

OK... I give up... I need to get to the headlight bulb on my new 2011 FX4...

I have removed the three screws I can see that are holding the plastic headlight housing in place but there's still something holding the plastic housing in place on the back of the housing and I can figure out what and I can get to whatever it holding it because of the wheel well plastic liner... Is there some kind of magic clip along the back of the lens or something that you have to undo?

You just undo the 3 screws you mentioned + the rubber flap and pull straight out. It takes a good amount of pressure but does pop out.

Hammer is right; the same info was in my manual ('09) and I changed mine w/o a hitch. BTW, I put in Phillips X-treme Power and didn't see much difference from 18 month old OEM's.

I too have the Phillips X-Treme Power and noticed a big difference. To see the difference I only put one bulb in and drove around on the rural highways and could see the increased distance. I do have a write-up in this forum somewhere...

Yes, you need to pull/yank out with good force, as the other guy said. Thanks

Bob, I did the same test with one new bulb and one old on rural and city roads; guess a lot of this is personal perception. Anyway, glad I got in on a $10 rebate from Phillips. Denver, NC......really?
