Write up on how I made my not so great A/C a little better.

Just did this mod on mine. On a 110F day, I was getting a low of 44F on MAX AC and RECIRC.
Today it was around 100F and I didn't notice any change. Oh well. For $2.00 and 15 minutes, it was worth a shot. Though I have to say that at 44F, it seems cold enough to me and my wife was complaining that she was too cold.

Yep, same here (see above). Us Arizona's will try just about anything to save a few degrees, lol

LS1 what a neat idea, my AC cools ok for us in the south but insulation of that line could help with the fuel mileage but not sure. I did mine a little different I used 2 inch wide cork insulation tape and cut it in 2 inch strips and warped everything, it worked good. I had a box left over when I rebuilt the dash air on our Monaco Coach.
Thanks for the reminder

I found that what's happening is the truck is sitting in the sun and every surface inside is getting hot then the vent temps are ok but it can't cool off the interior because of all this heat. I've been parking it and putting sunshades in the windows, sure it's still hot in the cab when I get in but none of the surfaces like the dash or doors are super hot and it seems to cool a bit better.

I did this mod today and it made a noticeable difference to me . Thanks OP!
I used the rubberized 3/4in tubing + a foam T. On top of it I put Pella rubberized insulation tape. I'm not sure how it'll hold up but I figured that it would provide more insulation and the foil will reflect heat.

Don't Touch the Trim
This was how mine was set on an 86 deg day. 2013 XLT, Sterling Gray w/gray interior. This was very comfortable on a 100 mile trip. You can see I only have the fan halfway up, max ac and recirc are off. I like the cool air down low on my feet too. If I switch to dash vents only, I would turn the fan down one notch.
