I'm seeing (if my gauge is correct) 52* degrees coming out my vent WITH the big line insulated and the temp set to 60. I did find that it seams to cool better with the temp set at 60 than LO.

Talked to the dealer yesterday about it, will be bringing it by Thursday for them to check it.

52 is way to warm. At 43 my dealer said that's normal. I can confirm after sitting in many newer f150's at work the AC is subpar compared to GM or even the older Fords.

If I could get 43, wow would that be great for starters! Dash temp said 98 had 46 degree air out of ac on freeway! Had to run on high!

I didn't have my thermometer with me today but the mod has made my AC noticeably cooler. I experimented a little today. If you keep the rpm's up around 1500 or more it works much better.

In my wifes edge today, had constant 39-41 degree air out the vent with 96 degrees on center screen AC on recirc only and temp set to low. Boy was it cold! Fan speed was 3.

When I tested it the other day it wasn't even 70 out so that was pre-mature for me to call it good. Has the mod helped? Yes, but today it is humid and 90 and I see an average of 46 out the vents. The lowest I saw was 39 and the highest was 52. This is max cool with fan speed at about 3/4.

If I lived down south I wouldn't be able to stand it.

Last summer, after I insulated my cold side, my AC still seemed horrible. I would leave work (truck sitting in the sun), lower the rear windows and turn the air on high, drive to the interstate (a couple miles away), roll the windows back up and turn the MAX A/C on and drive home. On a good day it would get down to 56-58 degrees out of the vent.
One day I was playing with the controls and turned off the MAX A/C and just ran the recirc. I was shocked that the temperatures immediately started dropping. Now, without running the MAX A/C, I consistently get 46-50 degrees.
Y'all might give it a try.

I will add that a buddy of mine just bought a 2011 Lariat 4x4 ecoboost and his air will freeze us out even without recirculation! I need to put my thermometer in his truck to see what his reads.

Next time i go to lowes i plan on doing this. My A/C seems very weak to the point ive gotten complaints from passengers. My old Jeep and buick could freeze you out.
