Well worth the 20 minutes, dirty hands and $6.00 worth of materials. I'm in south central Florida and this summer has been the most brutal I can remember. I hate to sweat when I'm dressed for work. Every degree counts. Let us know how u do.

I did this mod the other day. Wrapped with 1/2" rubberized self sealing pipe insulation from Lowe's, zip tied, and then wrapped with aluminum foil tape rated for 250 degF. I also wrapped as much as I could all the way to the compressor. Anywhere I could see the large HVAC line, I wrapped it. Haven't driven the truck much this weekend so I'll see how it works this week when the truck sits in the sun all day at work.

I also have had this issue with my 2013 ecoboost, when it was over 90 degrees up here in PA (humidity like South Carolina) and i would have my AC on max and fans blowing on max and the air would only be mildly cold. Took it in to dealership and they tell me its operating fine to me thats horse**** considering i do construction work and the work trucks i drive have much colder AC then my brand new truck sounds to me like they skimped on the AC charging from the factory. Ill be doing this tomorrow after i get home from work. I also have the factory privacy glass tint which helps but not by much.
