Radio system re-boot!
Well it's payday for me and like any other payday I headed out to gas up and get some Copenhagen. As I neared the store a crazy lightning and thunder storm hit. So I parked and headed into the store thinking I could beat the rain. Well I didn't beat the rain but the weirdest thing happend when I started my truck. The radio face was blank and my mp3 didn't start up like usual I also noticed the 6 little circles for the CD changer were blank. I had to press the power button 4 times before the system would start up again. Once it did the clock had reset itself and the CD changer began filtering through and adding the corresponding numbers to the 6 circles. Also I had to re-sync my phone with the bluetooth. My first thought was that my truck was struck by lightning. So like a worried parent I combed the entire surface of the truck trying to find any signs of a lightning strike. Thankfully nothing was discovered. Everything else started up normally. Does anyone know what may have happend? Could it have been struck by lightning and caused a system re-boot in the radio system without causing any paint damage?

It's very odd to say the least. The only reason I suspected a lightning strike was because it was hitting all around, very close. On my way back home there were a few tree branches laying on the roads. During the storm the wind was very calm nothing abnormal so I just chalked it up as lightning damage. Anyways just wanted to see what others thought of the situation.

Dang MicroSoft
I've had a similar incident with mine. After thinking about it and looking who's name is prominently displayed on the dash "MicroSoft" One has to wonder... Although I love the capabilities of the sync unit.

I know this sounds weird but it's good to know that others are having the same issue. I wonder which is producing the problem Microsoft or Sony. Based on my experiences Microsoft products are good but likely to fail and Sony products are above standard.

I would definitely say Microsoft is the cause of the issue.
