Default Wiper motor and brakes?

Has anyone else noticed that you can feel the wiper motor through the brakes? I had the wipers on intermitent, and was on the brkaes in traffic, and every time the wipers went on, I was ableo to feel it through the brake pedal.

I've felt that on every vehicle I've ever owned (all fords).

Ok, thanks guys...since this is my first Ford, i found it unusual to feel this in the brakes. Every other car I've owned....honda, toyota, chevy never had this. Good to know its common though.

Yep, felt it just recently! Had the radio up and was driving and at first I thought it was the ABS pulsating then saw that the feel coincided with the wipers! lol

Well i guess its comforting to know its common on fords...but is it really a good thing? Or was it just bad design?

It jsut reminds me of when your taking a drink at a water fountain, and someone in the restroom flushes, and the fountain pressure fluctuates, and you think...mmmmmmmmm i wonder

I think its just that the wiper motor is mounted close to the brake booster, which is attached to the pedal.

Ya had to post this didn't you. I never noticed it until I read your post and now I feel it. Weird thing is, I really only notice it on intermittent, not when the wipers are "full on."
