Default Tuff Country 2" leveling kit arrived today

To be installed at my buddy's house Sunday morning then going to get an alignment. From what I read should take about 1-2 hrs. I was hoping to get it installed sooner but our schedules don't work.

Sounds good. Let us know how the install goes. Pics would be GREAT ! (sorry no obligation, only if you feel like it of course).

I been fixing to get this kit too from them after reading posts by NorCal. Same brand as he, though he says how other brands ok too, but just doing the 2" level by any good kit is a good thing.

I will wait for the spring and the warmth to do.

Can you measure the spacer and tell me the thickness? The spacer in my 2" kit (Daystar) measured exactly 1" and didn't seem to raise the truck a whole lot. I am wanting to make sure I got the right kit. Thanks.

The spacers are about 1 1/8 inch thick. I will be measuring before and after heights and taking pics - then I'll figure out how to post. What about the headlights - do they need to be adjusted after the kit has been installed?

But did you have it aligned yet? Also, the thickness would be less than the advertised leveling amount because the angle of the thingy it goes in will increase the length. Thanks

Yes and Yes.

I'm thinking that 1/8" makes a big difference. the spacer for my 2.5" kit I had on my last truck was 1 5/8" and I got a solid 2.5".

Anyone know why their getting away from the 2.5" kits on the new generation?

Maybe because the difference between rear and front, and therefore the amount needed to level, is now only 2" ?

Jeff H - I made a mistake, the spacers are 1 1/4 inch not 1 1/8...not sure if that little bit makes much of a difference, but wanted to let you know...

I just had the 2" tuff country leveling kit installed yesterday at Les Schwab. (Thanks for the advice NorCal) Makes the truck look so much better. I wasn't expecting to notice it as much as I did. It does change your perspective from behind the wheel too! It was $260 installed and aligned with tax.

Glad to be of help, and I do agree about the new look of the truck, over the stock profile !! I have 8,000 miles on the truck today and it handles like day-one, and the tires are wearing evenly and properly.

Having said all of that, I think it is a bunch of BS !!!! that you got yours out the door for only $260, and it cost me $268.00 !!!!!
