wind noise
OK, I've had the 2010 FX4 SCrew for about a month now, I notice when there is pretty decent cross wind (20mph+), I get a loud & annoying howling noise off & on, if the wind is strong enough, it's a constant howl??? When you go through the under passes, or get beside a truck, or go through some trees, it goes away until you hit the cross wind again. When you go into a strong head wind there's no howling at all???
Anyone else notice this? I have a sunroof, but it seems to be coming from behind the cab or under the bed? Sometimes it seems like it's coming from across the hood? It just annoys the hell out of me!!!
I have a Retrax bedcover, but it doesn't change whether it's open or shut?
It also catches alot more wind than my 2008 GMC All Terrain Crew did, but I know it's a bigger truck than the GMC, and sits up higher.
THANKS!!!

just a little
I've noticed a similar issue. However, it's hardly noticeable but is there.
What does yours do in those situations where the noise is evident but you have the cabin blower off or a different speeds?
Have the Retrax on mine as well.

Don't know, I'll have to check? I think the blower has usaully been on the lower two settings? Living in Oklahoma, it's going to get real old - real fast!!!
I did notice a little today for the first time in a very strong head wind???
Thinkin' about putting a Magnaflow exhaust on so I won't have to listen to the howling wind noise!!!
Thanks for the reply!!!

My 2010 Platinum 4 X 4 has extra sound insulation, including a sound insulating windshield. I figure the FX4 is going to have more outside wind noise in the cab.
The Platinum heater/air conditioning fan (on low) is noisier than the outside wind noise when driving at 70 mph, with or without 20 mph crosswind.
As far as handling in a cross wind, I find no difference from my previous pickup (2001 Chevy Silverado extended cab 2WD).
