Why would anyone buy EcoBoost--What a scam!
Is the ecoboost getting better mileage?
Not really and is the little bit worth it--Not seeing it.
Is the ecoboost a heavy hauler?
Not really. For the little bit more that Ford rates it over the V8 it seems marginal.
So what are you getting?
1. The potential for stumbling as the condensation gets sucked in.
2. Ignition problems requiring that you reduce the plug gap.
3. Coking on the intake valves caused by the heat from the turbos.
Tell me again why the ecoboost is so popular?????

power, plain and simple. towing has been proven, heavyhandedly, many times. yes it is advertised as better mpg, and no it really isn't. The gap issue is only for 2011 and some of 2012. everything else newer is already at .35 gap and the closer .30 is only needed for higher boost engines running performance tunes. condensation is not nearly as common as the early ones. Coking does suck, and we will see how ford chooses to deal with it in the future.
The only thing i'd want more from my Ecoboost is a better exhaust note, it just doesn't sound like a truck thank you for your concern

Your missing my 2 points:
1. I have an ecoboost and I am not seeing it--the hype.
2. I think there are a bunch of trolls who try to beat down people who make valid points.
Thank you for the initial proof. Is there anyone with any courage who wants to step up or just a bunch of cowards who hide from the truth? Please..."a heavy hauler". It is a light-duty truck. If you use it for the hauling capacity, how long is it really going to last? Not even 100k miles!
Let's all try to be open-minded.
