Why would anyone buy EcoBoost--What a scam!

You the guy trashing the Eco on your first post.
You want some respect? Come on in and post with some respect.
You didn't post as if you were undecided.
You posted as if everything regarding the Eco is a scam - as per your title.
I do have a special interest. I own an EcoBoost that has performed flawlessly from the day I bought it.

All I am doing is pointing out the real problems and limitations of the ecoboost. While yours is performing "flawlessly" the ecoboost is rated "below average" in reliability by Consumer reports.
I have owned both and the 5.0 was so much better. I don't even intend to say for everyone. I just mean for me and I don't get it.

Doesn't anyone wonder why so many jump to the defense of ecoboost? It apparently needs defending. Now that makes sense. How many of those defenders have special interests or are paid?

Both of mine put out economy right in line with the EPA estimates.
Both of mine will pull crazy.
At 77k no issues with the Ecoboost other than a knock sensor under warranty and a belt tensioner last week that was just beginning to squeal. No coking, nothing other than a grin when I mash the go pedal. And no BS to "address issues" either, bone stock.
What are your issues? Other than what you read on the net?
From what I gather, it will tow what it says it will (we will find out as we plan an RV) and it will do it for many, many miles.

Another pointless detractor/distraction. All of my points are valid...condensation, plugs, coking and reliability is below average. The only reason more people don't start threads like this is because of the thugs who are promoting ecoboost with special interests--Deny it, if you can.

Cause it's a darn fine engine.
Both of mine put out economy right in line with the EPA estimates.
You are the exception then!

For how long and do they and how often???

Sounds like a lot of issues to me. How do you know the valves are not coking?

I think it is falsely advertised. It doesn't get better gas mileage and the trade-off is reliability. Ford had addressed the condensation, plugs and now coking...WHY WOULD ANYONE BUY THIS WHO HAS ANY JUDGMENT?
