Not enough demand

I think AK Cowboy meant demand in the context of 1,000's or even 10's of 1,000's of potential truck buyers who want manual, not just you! I'm sure the Big Blue Oval has appreciated your business thus far but I'm not sure the dealer is going to be able to special-order a manual just for you...

for 2010, the only trucks ford has in a manual is the super duty (certain options / pkgs) & the ranger. the new 2011 powerstroke will NOT have a manual option, nor will the 6.2L AFAIK.
uptake was pretty low in the F150s, so they dropped it. talked to a friend of mine, he sells insurance & deals with cars all the time. stick shifts have dwindled in numbers & the resale is notably lower than an auto trans.

Sadly, driving a manuel seems to be a dying art....
There's fewer and fewer people I meet who can drive one....
I bet even 10 to 15 years from now, average person will have no idea what that is or how to drive one....
