Unique & Different
Then it becomes need it, want it, got to have it. That in itself is known as the Civilizing Influence of a Thing of Beauty.

I started this because I thought it would be a HOOT to see the reactions. Everything from pissed off to the people that got the joke.
Is there another vehicle out there that can be customized with stuff you can buy, and put on yourself, like our trucks? Butt ugly to amazing, these mods make our trucks more of a statement about the people we are than anything on the road.
Cheers to all of us that spend our time looking for the perfect way to make them our own.

I hate my truck because I get so many looks when I am driving it, especially from Ram owners.

I don't hate mine, right now I'm missing it, I wrecked it August 5th, then it went in the shop I wanted, but a few issues came up, I hate that damn body shop now, they've had it since September 5th, I should get it back Tuesday or Wednesday, but then I'll be at work for a few weeks. Damn body shop.
Well I do kinda hate my truck because its an '09, and still looks like the current new truck, meaning I'll have to wait longer to have a truly different F-150.

Mine's comfortable too. And the ride is so smooth. Now, if it would only start...... I have a friend whose son works on trucks in another state and he says that a Dodge or Chevy can have almost every sensor and component failing and they will still start and run. Maybe not very well, but better than nothing and enough so you can troubleshoot. He also says that with a Ford, the cigarette lighter can blow a fuse and the truck may need to be towed. Great engineering. I saw a video on YouTube where an "out of range" temperature gauge sensor kept a van from starting. The offending engineer that thought that was good idea should be taken out and flogged. However, something tells me this wasn't one of Ford's better ideas. This forum is full of unintended consequences of Ford engineering. My 1993 F150 5.0L runs for a day and then won't start. Wait a week and maybe it will run if it feels like it. All systems check out.

I hate my truck because everyone wants one and it then raises the price and demand. A lot of city folks think they need trucks, yet they never haul more than kids and cheeseburgers. Mine was still expensive even for an '09 and yet all I could afford. I miss the times when no one really wanted a truck and they were one of the more affordable vehicles you could purchase.
