The day after I made the first payment on my tbird in high school, it was at the exhaust shop. 72 hours after driving my Lariat home, I was at the truck shop buying shtuff for it.

Lethal Performance is 5 minutes from my house, I already have a list of parts bookmarked on my ipad that I'll be picking up at the end of the month.

It's my thing, I don't hate it, it just needs some "improvement".

I don't hate my truck, I modify because I'm a car enthusiast and my truck is something that should represent me. And a car enthusiast is a person who can explain why they get a certain vehicle without using the terms practical, low maintenance, or resale value.

Why is everyone looking to refit, rebuild, re wheel, raise, lower or something. 30, 40 or 50 k for truck to start f-ing with. The next owner is looking for this truck right now.

Please tell me why you paid so much for something you hate and want to change.

Says the guy that changed his exhaust!!!(Flowmaster) Why did you do that? Why change something you spent allot of money on? Do you hate your truck or something?

Seems a silly question to me. I don't maintain, upgrade, or change my vehicle with the "next owner" in mind. I do it with me in mind.

Ha ha...I love the responses in this thread. I love my truck and have nothing to hate about it. My truck is still stock cause I'm on a budget for now, but I really enjoy seeing nicely done mods to trucks and how people have personalized them. I also enjoy seeing nice clean stock ones too. To each their own, and to each who can afford all the goodies there is to get.

Can't see while I'm backing up at night....but some rigid led's and and a back up camera will take care of that. The motor is gone, but warranty co.many is fixing that for me right now. Then i have nothing to hate lol.

Love the truck but wasn't crazy about the stereo system. So on the third day after buying it, went directly to my favorite stereo shop and added subs and amp. Probably swap out the stock speakers at some point as well as I'm still not entirely satisfied but it is a whole lot better than the stock system. And I'm probably a bit past what would be considered middle-aged so it's not as if I have to shake peoples houses as I drive past. But music is important to me and with the mileage I pile up, I just couldn't live with the stock system.

(easiest and smartest "mod" was dumping my Ipod and putting my music on a memory stick-I know this isn't really a mod but figured I'd add it for others frustrated on how Apple plays with Sync)

Consider yourself LUCKY! You said it right " I LOVE THIS TRUCK". Hey I said that and my wife even gets jealous of my passion for my truck. Maybe us guys want to give our trucks a BOOB job, FACE or BUTT lift or Tummy Tuck, even remove some of that CELLUITE! Maybe their just an extension of what we want our wives to look like,LOL! All I know is that once you get infected with the mod bug, its an STD (Socially Transmitted Disease)that you cant get rid of. You usually contract it from internet forums. So you are at high risk. We all love our trucks at first,,just like when we first met our little girls we married. Heck even our girls are constantly modding themselves into beautiful hot women, spending our hard earned cash. So point is that it is a contagious and continuous vicious cycle of life that we all do at some point and time because everyone likes to feel good about their appearance and the joy of improving and the sense of accomplishment is very rewarding inside. "It makes you feel really good". Guys take time to notice or give your wife a complement when she's done something to look good, She will just light up all over. Do we really need to do any of this to our trucks, Not really but just like our wives we LOVE IT!
