Default Why 5.4 WHY?!

I previously owned a 2V 5.4 and did the normal K&N, exhaust, EDGE programmer, plugs, etc and it helped a little.
I currently own a 2010 3V 5.4 and this thing always feels so sluggish
I'm currently getting 11.0 mpg which is less than normal so I went a head and pulled my MAF and cleaned it, cleaned and oiled the filter, still nothing
Bad "winter" fuel- doubtful
Is there anything to be done *without voiding warranty* to get a little more pep in her step?
Or increase mpg?
Before anyone says...ease into speed and cruise, keep in between 40-60, I'm well aware of optimum driving patterns but this is not the only issue!

One of the biggest differences is that your 2V had a cable than ran from the skinny pedal to the throttle body. The 3V is all electronic and has a huge delay compared to it being directly connected. A tune will help a lot with power and sluggish feeling.

As for mileage a tune can help with that too. I would start with the plugs though.

Make sure not to put to much oil on the filter.

I'm not sure what year your 2V truck was but its safe to say that your 2010 is a fair amount heavier, more steel, more safety equipment etc. Like others have stated your best bet is going to be a tuner and a tune up.

Plugs! Made a huge difference for me. I was starting to think the cat was stopped up our something. Changed the plugs on my 4.6 and now it has the power it should. Found my gaps between 45 and 69. Correct for my truck is 41. Some good fuel cleaner to help clean out those injectors would not hurt.

Can't complain about my 10' 5.4.

Running with a K&N intake, Banks Monster Exhaust and 5* Tuner currently running 93 perf tune.

I'm getting 15MPG city and 19-21MPG highway

I did replace my plugs at 60k miles ( currently @ 69xxx )

What size tires and gears are you running? Mine 5.4 was getting 17-18mpg, now 15mpg with winter fuel and has good Giddy-Up and Go.

Is your 2010 still in warranty?

Like tomtom52 said spark plugs will help both of those if they are worn out. How many miles do you have?

Odd, my father has a 2005 Expedition 5.4 3v used for towing his race trailer and I've never once thought of it as a dog. Quite the contrary, I've always been impressed with it's power and towing ability.

Obviously it's no 5.0 but it shouldn't be a dog.

Saw your older post about running 37's... not sure if you put them on yet, but if you have, that would be why your mpg and performance suck.
