I had a 1999 f150. Wrecked it in 2004. Really wanted a new 2004 model, but it just came out and there were no deals on those. Ended up with a used 2003 with 13000 miles. Drove that until oct. Of 2012 when i got this supercrew.

Main moral of the story is Guinea pigs pay out the *** to be first to test a new body style for Ford. I would rather save the cash and go with the tested middle years of a design. Just me.

Also, the new body style will grow on you over time. I hated the 2009 front end at first, but after seeing a gazillion of them, i wanted one badly. Probably happen to me again with the 2015 f150 / toyota tundra love child. I am not a fan now, but may be in the future.

There are only two features I really like about the 15, the Panoramic moonroof and the birds eye view. Everything else is a wash imo. The exterior design is nice, aluminum and decrease in weight is nice too.

But my 13 5.0 FX4 is one of the last actual fx4 models to be made with a full steel/metal body. Now for 15, the FX is an add on. So, that alone makes mine unique.

Also, we must remember these are trucks. They don't fall into the same category as cars. You don't see semi truck owners trading in their trucks every other year. Trucks are meant to be work horses. Use it, enjoy it and when you've run the crap out of them, then consider the next model.

Now, that being said. If someone gave me a 15, I'd happily take it!

Agreed. Didn't like the headlights but then I joined the F150 Facebook fan page and saw a picture of a lifted one at a car show and thought it looked killer.

I just bought my 13 FX4 and won't be trading anytime soon.

I bought a late '13 XLT (built 9/30/13) in May '14 for $32K. Sticker was $43,925. I'd have to pay well over $10K more for the same '15. While the weight reduction would be nice along with a standard boost guage, there are a few things I like better on the '13. I've put wheels/tires, level, tune, exhaust, Linex, and have a 6 year/100K powertrain warranty and I'm still at least $5K ahead. I'm very happy with my truck and have no regrets. I'm happy for the folks with the new 15's, but not jealous at all. I'm planning on this truck making it to the next new gen before I need to replace it.

I have a set of aluminum/magnesium lugnuts for my Miata, if the F150 is anything like that it will have a plastic type feel. It certainly should be durable but the cab corners are still steel and will eventually rust.

That's an Ecoboost and it has a center mount front license plate. So much for the intercooler air restriction theory for inserts.

Maybe the IC sits higher in the 15s? As the new grille opening is Monsterous!
