Default Who's Had Their Ecoboost Speedo Recalibrated AT The Dealer?

I posted earlier that my truck will not accept the speedo calibration even though the lap top indicates the new 315 70 17 tire choice is programed in.

Some said it may be that the EB may take a newer programer,or the dealer didn't do what was necessary to make the changes work for an EB motor.

Has anyone had their EB speedo successfully calibrated? Or share any confirmed info.

Thanks

I have seen this happen in several f150's 09 and up. IDS shows the programming complete but when you check it nothing has changed. NO IDEA why its doing this either.

That's exactly what is happening. Are you a Ford mechanic?

I had mine done. I went from having the stock pirellis on 20"s to Raptor wheels with 315/70/17 tires. Truck ran a little crappy (like bumpy shifts) and so I went in to Ford to have it recalibrated. Huge difference after that. I have an Ecoboost too if that makes a difference...

Uh, how do you know, or how can you tell if the speedo is off still? Mine just seemed to run better and the MPG's changed after that so I assumed I was correct now...

Thanks TEXAS. That's what I wanted to hear. I have Raptor tires and wheels too and it runs like crap. Two dealers have been unable to make the update work.

GPS. No matter what seting they choose,my speedo is off the same amount. It's off by 6%. Doesn't sound like much, but it is.

My raptor wheels & tires will be here in a couple of days too. I hope my dealer can make the change! I've heard both sides...no, it can't be done and yes it can. How many mpg's did you lose?

Don't know. Of course the gauge will be way off. You have to check it by hand, then add 6% more miles cause your odometer will be off too. Haven't done that yet. However, I usually lost about 2mpg with my diesels in the past.

ecoscrew. Please let me know if the calibration "took" Just check it before and after with a hand held gps.

So if you go up bigger tires (I want to get 275/70/18 ) it's gonna make my eb run bad? I knew it would throw off the speedo some and mpgs..
