Default Who needs an Ecoboost?!?!

I just made the trip from San Antonio to SE Iowa yesterday and averaged 22 mpg (calculated) in my 2009 FX4!! Stop once to get gas after 630 miles and still had just under quarter of a tank left! I was excited so just thought I'd share! lol

no matter how great the ecoboost is, you aint getting 600+ miles on the little tank with some to spare. sounds like a good trip, glad you enjoyed the trip.

My 5.4 is. On all highway trips it will pull anywhere from 20-21.5 on average. There are those times where you get perfect conditions and a strrong tailwind I've seen 22+. My '10 was the most impressive truck I've been in, until I drove my dads Ecoboost. That engine is typically 5-10% higher mpg, but feels A LOT more powerful. It's an amazing engine.

Just wondering, do you have a 26 gal. tank or larger? Great mpg if true.
