Default Where to buy 'older' stock grille inserts?

Have a new 2013 FX4 and while I love it, I love the 2011/12 6-bar grille just a little bit better... Suggestions on where to find/order one? Needs to be black, I keep coming across chrome online (maybe I'm just not digging deep enough!). And am I correct in thinking I only need the insert?

Also considering adding tow mirrors, but assuming I can just get those through Ford since they're on current models? Though I'll take suggestions on where to find the best deals!

Thanks

There are a lot of people on here that would love to have the FX4 grill. You could start posting things for sale after 25 post. I am pretty you you can post wanted to buy WTB a grill. As for the tow mirrors www.tascaparts.com they are a vendor on this forum I got mine from them a few years ago they where the cheapest and knew what other parts I might need to make them work completely. They aren't difficult to either paint or plasti dip……… I just bought the 6 bar grille for my 2012 Lariat on ebay for about 350. Going to install this week…

Pretty sure Ford didn't make the 6 bar grill in back. But @cthusker has the right idea. Plasti-dip is the way to remedy that.

Post in the for sale section and put "wtt"(want to trade) in the title.

Thanks everyone for the replies & welcomes!

The rule about having to wait 25 posts or 60 days to post in the for sale section is making that tougher than I hoped... I stumbled across an old thread where someone was selling one, but unfortunately it was a year or 2 old and had obviously been sold.

Wanted33 this is the one I'm looking for:

Well dang, I forgot about the previous FX grills. Yep, the mind is a terrible thing. Now that I'm back on the rails, I haven't seen any of these for sale. And, that's strange. I would bet the price for a new one is way too high, but just for giggles try Fairway Ford in Canfield, Ohio. I've bought from them. The prices are better than my dealer, and shipping is free.

Also as @Mlrav suggested, post a WTB on the sales section here. One never knows. Good luck sir.

Thanks Wanted33! I'll look up the place you mentioned. I am curious what the price would be like for new, but free shipping is always a plus! Once I can post in the for sale section I'll try that, too.

And I'd correct your sir to ma'am, but I'd like to think there's no way I'm old enough to be a ma'am yet ;-) lol

I've seen more chrome versions for sale on ebay than black ones.

Yeah unfortunately that's what I'm seeing too SteveLord, same with online accessory dealers.
