Touch Screen Nav Fingerprints Won't Come Off
So, I searched and couldn't find anything, probably because of the wording. Anyhow, has anyone found the solution to not wearing out the spots on the touchscreen such as the "Home" area the number key pad for the phone? I cleaned the heck out of it but I am not sure if the natural oils on my fingers or the screen is just inferior quality.

Mine is a 2010 and I use either computer screen or eyeglasses cleaning wipes and have no problems getting fingerprints off
Both types seem to be effective but the eyeglass wipes are a little cheaper

I am not familiar with the navigation system screen in Fords, but if it is hard, slick screen like a smartphone, you should be able to use one of those eyeglasses cleaning cloths - the silky, kinda stretchy kind. They can be washed, rinsed thoroughly and reused forever, basically. That is probably the kind of cloth Ford provided.
If it is a matte-surfaced screen, like some computer or laptop screens, try a soft cloth (like microfiber) dampened with distilled water (NOT tapwater). Good luck!

Retired and loving it!
I have an iPad, and the finger spots are a hundred times worse there than in my truck.....a little spray of eyeglass cleaner and the little towel that comes with the truck work just fine.....on both!

Folks-
The screen being dirty is not the issue..
He has the same issue I wrote on a could weeks ago where the matte finish wears off on the navigation screen where you tap most often. I have 4-5 worn areas.. Is there any way to remove the rest of matte finish, or has anyone tried a matte finish screen protector in hopes it would hide the blemishes?
Mine looks aweful.. Any ideas greatly appreciated..
