Wheel clear coat peeling already?!
Pulled the wheels out from under my house this past weekend b/c I had a looong haul to pick up a 4runner. The freaking clear coat on all 4 stock rims is already peeling, the things were only run for ~1000miles. You cant get anything worth a crap anymore!

My 2010 20's are the same way. They look really bad. One wheel is almost completely bare because most of the clearcoat flaked off.

I must be the oddity as my 2010 wheels are fine!
It's interesting that it's circular like curb rash.

Guess I feel slightly better im not the only one. Its definitely not curb rash, it looks like little worms under the coating. Around the edge there's no clear coating at all, I had pieces come off when I rubbed it

What are you using to clean the rims acid lol mine did this on my platinum when I bought it make sure not to use all wheel cleaner or aluminum wheel cleaners just soap and water. Those cleaners do a number on the crappy finish. I'm about to scuff mine off and use a dupli color clear

I used a metal grade paint stripper and took the clear right off on my Platinum wheels. Then wet sanded out the worm like corrosion and polished back to a shine. But now I need to decide if I should clear coat again before winter or not?
