Whats Your Favorite All Weather FloorMats?
#31
I like the fact that they're made here too. Maybe I'm too picky about them but they bother me. It also didn't sit well with me when the Weathertech rep told me "they all do that. It's the way they're made". The cut out area for the factory sub could also be moved over more and under the sub for more protection.

+ 6 on the Weathertechs, I had the OEM floor mats and as others are saying they are very nice however there is no comparison to the Weathetechs they are the best floor mats out there.

It's amazing how many people are praising the WeatherTechs here. When I did my search for floor mats, all I read about them were complaints of them being "too plasticy" or "my feet slide too much" or "they don't stay put on the carpet." That's partially why I went with the 3D Maxpider mats (sold as Aries 3D floor liners most places) as it addressed all three of these issues, especially the grip to the carpet issue. Where were you guys when I did my research? Did WeatherTech change their product for the better in the past year and a half? Not complaining about my mats at all as I would put them up against the WeatherTechs any day in a head to head comparison. Just interesting how so many people are recommending them now.

Anytime I've seen the mats you mentioned, all reviews have been great.

I already have the Weathertechs in front, but looking for options for the rear. The OEM ones were going to be an option, but now that I see these new ones just mentioned by poskwally, (3D Maxpider mats - or Aries 3D), they look pretty darn nice!!!
That may be a new option! Never heard of them until now.

The Weathertech rear mat in my scab is a piece of junk...... I am going to toss it in the garbage. The fronts are good and they fit...... drivers can't move either as the posts secure it to the floor. I have had quite a few and I liked weathertech in my GM trucks.... but not as much in the Ford. I ordered the Husky center hump cover as Weathertech doesn't make one. The oem mats are okay for the pavement pounder being the FX4. I wouldn't want them where you actually get dirty as it doesn't go under the gas pedal of course. I may try and get the oem rear for an extended cab for my XLT.... the one in my crew is a nice mat.

Yeah I guess the big brand/advertising thing makes sense. I was in the same position, ready to buy WeatherTechs because that's what I saw in the commercials. Then a member here reviewed the 3Ds and posted a link to the guy on eBay selling direct from the manufacturer for around $130 for the full set compared to $200 for the WeatherTech, Husky, and I believe the Aries 3D also sells at $200. I figured I'd take a chance also and glad I did. They've got a great idea with that material that's on the bottom that they're calling maxpider. It's similar to the hard part of Velcro but softer if that makes sense and they don't budge once they're in place. I don't know if that guy on eBay is still selling them for that price, but if he is, it's worth the look.

I have had both Huskey and Weathertech's over the years and like them fine, but I have to say my new favorites are the Rugged Ridge ones. They fit very nicely, look good and seem very heavy duty 179.00 for front and rear from RealTruck.com.
