Default What's this connection?

So, I'm poking around under the driver's side dash, taking a survey on where I can power my LCD mirror, and I see this gray and red plug... what's it for?

Hoping I can put some pins on my wires and plug them into this plug to get a ignition switched positive, negative and a backup light switched.

Thoughts?

Can someone point me to a wiring diagram of the harnesses on the 2103 F150? I can probably figure it out.

Thought someone would have seen that before...

What trim level is your truck?

How many pins on that connector?

Keep looking around your truck and you will find MANY empty connectors such as that.

Looks like 16 or 18... I'll have to look again when I get home.

Just checked my truck, it looks like that goes to the backup sensor control box and annoying beeper.

So, here are some better pictures of the mystery connector which may be the backup sensor control box (what's that, mine has no backup sensors).

To be clear, the connector is on the drivers side, on the left, near where the wiring harness comes in from the engine area through the firewall.

So, if it's a connector to backup control box, it likely has switched power and a backup wire?

Okay, just in case anyone else needs to know, pin #1 12v+ and #4 ground and are switched power

When looking at the red part of the connection, face on:
#1 pin is on top, 2nd hole from right (1st hole isn't a pin connection)
#4 pin is on top, 5th hole from right

I have switched power to my aftermarket rear view mirror.

Just need to find the backup switched power for the mirror, and I'm in business!
