I call every year to cancel my subscription and each year they offer me a $99 package instead of the usual annual rate over $200. I guess they rather have a paying customer than no customer.

I guess the retention guy I spoke to missed the meeting that morning. He offered 120 per car, I said I was paying 78 he said let me give you your cancellation numbers.

Another game they play, they just did my son this way, the quoted him the 5 months for 25 bucks for his same service, except Internet. The next day his live data was gone and had to call back in and renegotiate agin at a higher amount.

Called this number, tried to get me Select package for $99 a radio, I said no, and miraculously, she could do the 6 months for $25 + fees.

Since ours has been turned off for 2 months now or so, we have not missed it! Until the free trial came on recently, now we know we have not missed it!

The free trials suck, they don't include my 3 favorite channels.

It's been a few weeks since I cancelled, finally got a second offer in the mail. The paper said 12 months for $89. I logged on to the link they provided to check it out and you can select the 12 months/$89 or they offer 6 months for $29, plus royalty fees. This is for Select - All channels. Says it rebills at the regular rate of $15.99/month at the end of the special, can cancel anytime. So I signed up for 6 months and added a reminder to my calendar on November 28th to call and cancel.

In Canada, Sirius charges a 15% "music royalty fee". According to the website, nearly all of this is sent to Sirius US, for distribution to artists. Do you pay this in the US? It was "unbundled" a few years back from the yearly Sirius fee. In other words, the yearly fee stayed the same price but the royalty fee was charged on top, instead of being included, as it was before. A way for Sirius to hike prices by 15% but not appear to do so.

Just called there today, that 888 number in these posts is for the US so they transfered me over to the Canadian call center. My e-mail told me it would be $191/yr and I found out when I called that would actually be $241 with royalty fees. Told her not a chance so she says we'll give you three months free and that will be $181. Again no thanks how about that deal you gave me last year, "I can't do that for you sir let me transfer you". About 20 minutes later I get a nice lady on the phone and we go through the speal and I ask about the deal I got last year eighty something for the year, she looks it up and says it was $79.96/year and she'd be willing to do it again. So just for the hell of it I asked since the one in my wifes Edge is almost over if they'd do that price for both accounts, I got put on hold for about 15 more minutes and she comes back and says she got in trouble for telling me she could do that but since she already gave me that price they'd honor it for both accounts. BINGO.... two accounts at $79.96/year, with royalty fees its about $120 each
