What's the best SIRIUS deal you've been offered recently?
I am getting that irritating too long verbal message every time I change channels warning me that my complimentary SIRUIS subscription is soon to expire.
I know about not ever giving them your credit card number, as they will renew you without your permission at their highest possible rate.
I used to see rates offered as low as $4.99 a month, which I MIGHT consider paying..........anything more than that and I am not going to renew.
What good renewal rates have members here been offered in the last month or so, and what did you have to do to get them?
Thanks in advance for this information...........

Best deal is to let it expire and then for some reason a couple weeks later 5 of the 6 channels I listen to the most still work. Still works to this day and its been 6 months since my free trial expired. Some channels go in and out. Anyone else notice this?

Definitely let it cancel and wait for the offers. I negotiated half price. Which is a random number it seems... but worked out to about $85/year. I thought that was fair.
My problem is I want to add a Sirius receiver to my new head unit but "new" subscribers are considered a captive audience and breaks are hard to come by. "How else do you expect to use your shiny new hardware? Pay up, buddy."

I got $29.99 for 6 months and they send me another $29.99 bill at the end of that period. Also, like someone else mentioned, dont give them your credit card either. Pay by check or MO only.

Easy way to get a discount:
When your yearly subscription is close to expiring, phone them and tell them you think you would like to cancel it.
They ask "Why? Is there a problem with the service?"
"No, I think it's great. However I don't use it too often and I need to save some money this year"
"Oh I see, so it's just a money issue?
"Yes that's correct"
"...well, what I can do if you're interested ..."
My friend and I have both done this before, ended up with a 50% discount. This simple polite method works for lots of things. Worked for our satellite TV subscription and I'm going to try it with Microsoft next time my xbox live membership is due.
