Really and truly I only tried to make an interesting thread about winter coming. My real intention on this thread was to get responses about handling and driving in the rain. To set the record straight I am not worried about the _ _ _ _ mode much. On thinking about it maybe should have just left that out. My original post said I was only a little worried about it and went on to list a few other things. I suppose worried was probably a bad choice of words for me to use.

Regardless of all that, Bozo's was also a bad choice. I apologize to,you and anyone else I offended. Think I'll stay away from any mention of you know what In the future.
I am shamed
It's hard to understand someone fully over a post on a forum, no hard feelings on my end.

As far as the rainy season coming up, I live in Canada and I have to deal with the snowy season. As for driving in the rain if its anything like snow it's all about traction and visibility. Good tires made for snow/rain are a must. 4x4 isn't supposed to be used on dry pavement or at highway speeds, so good quality tires are a must. Second I'm not a fan of stock wipers and upgraded those as well i think i bought michelin brand, on the windshield itself I apply "aquapel" which is like rain x but much better and longer lasting, at 35mph and above you don't need your wipers at all, the water just beads off and vision is improved tremendously. Lastly I installed some window vent things, I like the fresh air but hate the water/snow dripping into the can so with them installed I can crack the windows and stay dry.

Theres some good ideas there! A few weeks ago it rained here for about 2 hours. After it stopped I got in my truck and took off down the street. I rolled my windows down about halfway and when I hit the stops sign at the end of the street the accumulated water on the roof emptied into my lap from my drivers window...... Needless to say, I went on Amazon and bought the stick on visors so thats a great idea and should be a helpful addition.

I hadn't even even thought about new wipers, I think that will be on my list now. Good tip. And the Rainex hadn't crossed my mind either. We get rain here in fairly good chunks but last time it snowed I think I was still a teenager!

Thanks for the ideas

If you can find the " aquapel " or rain x you'll love it in the next rain storm.

I'm headed to the local auto parts house here tomorrow. I'll see if they have it there. My wife will need some too. I put new wipers on her car a while ago. Also looking for some Collinite 845 that I heard about on this forum. Should help get ready for the winter quite a bit.

Just some info on another good windshield product. I bought some Stoner Invisible Glass w/rain repellent. It does great also, and you just use it like any other window cleaner. I put a good coat of Rain-X on, and when I need to clean the windshield I use the Stoner. Last forever.

Great reviews (and a lot of them) on this product too. I wish our local stores had more of a brand selection than they do. You just have to get lucky or buy what they carry because they usually only carry one type of everything. But I did see it on Amazon and the price is not bad for something that works so well. I like your idea of using it with the Rain-X. I did puck up some Rain-X today at my local parts store but they didn't have the Aquapel. Now if it would just rain!
