OP, I think in their own ways some are saying don't worry about something you have no control over. Any vehicle can have a problem, but if you worry everytime you drive it you will never be able to enjoy it. I hope you don't have any problems, but if you do a Ford dealer wherever you are will be at your service. I know this from experience when on a road trip in one of my off brand vehicles.

You've been soured in here too long and, I think you just like putting down someone's thread for your own ego reasons. So Jaded. You don't like my thread? Read and answer another one. Don't be a bunch of jaded bozo's.
I'm sure my comment pissed you off a good deal, I do apologize but my intentions weren't meant to hurt your feelings, just wanted you to not worry to much about something that is completely out of our control. I'm not sure if you knew about the limp mode before you bought the truck but I assume you didn't and just stumbled across a few threads that mentioned it. You'll notice a common trend on forums and that is that most people will only post the negative and rarely the positive. I agree with you about the bs responses and egos and what not. Again not my intention. Most of the replies do tend to agree with the limp mode being a non issue. Your 2011 should still be under warranty (I think) and any leak issues, engine issues and what not should and will be covered for the most part. My truck doesn't leak anywhere, headlights don't fill with water...if they did you'd be sure I'd be at my local dealership having it fixed.

Again I do apologize if I rubbed you the wrong way. I hope you can forgive my jaded bozo reply.

I have a 2011 ECO. Towed in Rain and high humidity for hours at a time, Florida to Georgia. Never had a problem. You will not either. Enjoy your truck.

If anything, you need to be worried about spark plug gapping causing misfires. Pretty easy to fix too.

I've had my truck for over 18 months now and haven't had a single issue.

To keep with your thread theme. I'm worried that the 2015s will be intriguing enough that I will most likely want one
I find your post interesting!! "I'm worried that this thread will be viewed by many people who just want to complain" when you just posted a complaint that it will turn into a complaint!!! Interesting hypocrite approach you have going on there! Well just so you know,,,, I said it was interesting so that doesn't mean that I am complaining about you complaining about this thread turning into a complaining thread!

I do however agree and I too suffer from the Limp mode. Enjoy your trip and if possible don't try to get into a condition on needing to floor the truck as it really seems to be a normal factor when the limp mode happens. I also agree that most of us have bought new cars / trucks and have had issues but not ones that shut the truck down in the middle of the highway and so I can see being a little worried about it..

Four Fords in 4 years all in for some major service, that's just not up to par with the other vehicles I have purchased in the past it is 100% worse.

Thank you, I hope you and others can forgive mine also.

Really and truly I only tried to make an interesting thread about winter coming. My real intention on this thread was to get responses about handling and driving in the rain. To set the record straight I am not worried about the _ _ _ _ mode much. On thinking about it maybe should have just left that out. My original post said I was only a little worried about it and went on to list a few other things. I suppose worried was probably a bad choice of words for me to use.

Regardless of all that, Bozo's was also a bad choice. I apologize to,you and anyone else I offended. Think I'll stay away from any mention of you know what In the future.
I am shamed
