Thanks though as I will be ordering the JDM Star 800 Lumens to try.

I mean, it's not like you can't buy from the US site amazon.com... right? I mean sure you have to pay customs and duties fees but it's not like these lights are all that expensive anyhow. Admittedly I only hear about the fees when my Canadian friends complain. And it's been a while. Have they gone up a lot in cost?
It's a bit of a kick in the pants when you are dinged an extra 30% because of the exchange and shipping isn't usually very cheap. But in all honestly, these are pretty low-dollar items, so it wouldn't be too bad. Thankfully, Norotso found me some links via Amazon.ca.

Back on track about the reverse lights in our trucks...
No doubt the OEM reverse lights and/or overall design is horrible....
I personally changed my bulbs out to a projector type over a year ago - which indeed helped out tremendously and even looks good, but I still added a rear tailgate light bar with the reverse lights in the bar, then even added auxiliary recessed LED lights in the bumper.
(Never have enough lighting! Lol)
I already ordered the JDM ASTAR 800 lumen LED's to see if there is s noticeable difference.
Should be here first of the week.

I do have a little better lighting in the OEM location with the new JDM ASTAR 800 lumen over the projector ones I had.
Again, the overall ford OEM design stinks and I mainly rely on the recessed led flush mounts!
I simply flip my switch in my KustomFX switch panel whenever I need them!

Don't want to derail the thread, but you can get a 4 switch set up with a cool laser etched logo in the center too!

Here's some of our output shots with our various LED options installed:
(3156 XP80 - 510 lumens / Measured)
(921 XP50 - 410 lumens / Measured)
It's worth mentioning that 100% of the rounded lumen numbers you see like *1000 lumens* & *800 lumens* are completely inaccurate. It's important to look for actual measured lumen numbers.
Here's how we measure our LED replacement options:
Thank you!

I just installed these these this last weekend. For $14.79, I will give them a shot. They are 18w each.
I wired them so that they will come on automatically with the reverse lights, can be turned on anytime (for hooking up trailers, etc.) and then can be shut off completely to never come on.
I also added a front 11" light bar behind the grill for offroad use.
